Janitor/Facility Maintenance/Cleaning

We are looking for a Janitor, Custodian, or Housekeeper to take care of our club and carry out cleaning and maintenance. The goal is to keep our club in a clean and orderly condition.

Our janitorial team is called our Club Pride for a reason. They help us keep a club to be proud of! Our facilities are seen by hundreds a day and keeping a clean and tidy workout zone is paramount to ensuring that our members enjoy their workout, and you have a workplace you can be proud of too.

Club Pride positions are offered for both morning and evening shifts. We have opportunities to grow too, as many of our Club Pride Supervisors and Facility Managers are promoted from within. This position offers a perfect chance to work in a great atmosphere, learn about the health club business, and enjoy complimentary membership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sanitize high traffic areas (i.e., locker rooms, activity areas, free-weight area, etc.)

• Maintain a stocked and maintained supply room/work area

• Work with management on club maintenance and repairs

• Perform minor repairs (i.e., lightbulb changes, dispenser installation, etc.)

• Communicate with other staff members

• Follow all health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

• 18 years or older to apply

• Bilingual Spanish (Preferred, not required)

• 1 years Custodial experience (Preferred, not required)

• Ability to handle heavy equipment (floor polish machine) or willingness to learn

• General knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies

• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets

• Ability to work individually and with a team

• Ability to lift 30 lbs

• Ability to stand/bend for 2-3 hours at a time

Physical Labor

• 30% sweeping and moping

• 40% wiping surfaces

• 10% lifting and re-racking weights

• 10% light maintenance

• 10% as needed specialty cleaning

General Information:

• Club hours are Monday – Thursday: 5am-11pm, Friday: 5 am-10pm, Saturday – Sunday: 8am-8pm

• Average shift length: 5 to 6 hours

• Opportunities to pick up extra hours at nearby locations

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
