Job Description
The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a leadership role who is responsible for the club's overall production and weekend success. This candidate will assist the General Manager to ensure that the club meets or exceeds financial goals as well as training and directing all club employees. The General Manager will evaluate this candidate's growth on a weekly and monthly basis with the District Vice President. Based on this candidate's influence and performance, one can expect to step into a Manager role as soon as 2 months but no longer than 12 months.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Meet productivity goals through "VCLASS" to achieve weekly, monthly and yearly objectives.
- Achieve 50% or higher health club membership closing.
- Daily review and report to GM in areas of concern through reading the clubs performance reports.
- Provide awareness within the local community on what LA Fitness has to offer as well as the ability to create a sense of urgency in becoming a part of our member base.
- Generate personal contacts, business contacts along with daily appointments to tour our facility from your marketing efforts.
- Establish onsite locations within the surrounding towns to increase brand awareness & brand messaging.
- Knowledge within community events ensuring club participation and are actively involved.
- Exceptional external marketing and relationship building through our community out-reach program.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and ensure management along team members are providing the highest level of customer service, cleanliness by our club pride practice and financial performance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Qualified candidates must have a proven leadership ability in an educational, fitness, or professional settings
- Previous sales experience preferred
- Management experience preferred but NOT required
- Marketing or advertising experience preferred
- Excellent motivator
- Ideal candidate will be passionate, knowledgeable, and have a personal commitment to health and wellness
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $2,100.00 - $8,000.00 per month
