What are the responsibilities and job description for the La Fiesta Server position at La Fonda on the Plaza?
La Fiesta Bar and Lounge is looking for full-time and part time servers to join our team. This job is perfect for candidates seeking a fun, fast-paced environment, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to grow in a hospitality career. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in beer, wine, and cocktails, and a passion for going "above and beyond" for guests.
Our servers must be able to stay organized and calm in a fast-paced setting, possess in depth knowledge of wine, beer and spirits and remain engaging and genuine with our guests. Applicants must have previous food and beverage or hospitality experience, valid alcohol server and food server permits in the state of NM, and be able to pass a pre-employment screening. Applicants must also be able to stand and walk for an eight hour shift while carrying trays of food and/or beverage, lift at least 40 lbs, be a minimum of 21 years of age and be able to communicate in English with guests and coworkers (Spanish a plus).

La Fonda was built in 1922, but city records indicate that there has been a hotel or inn on this corner of the plaza since Santa Fe’s founding in 1607. The hotel was a Harvey House until 1969, operated by the Harvey Company, which had a legendary reputation for hospitality and “civilizing” the Old West.
