The Intern will have the opportunity to rotate through different classrooms to gain real life experience. The Intern assists the Teacher with the daily program for children, including, but not limited to, the preparation and cleanup of daily programming/activities, conducting child assessments, and helping children learn to think creatively, to solve problems independently and respect themselves and others.
Job Responsibilities:
- Love to care! Follow all licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child. Maintain a fun, interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
- Love to help! Supports Teachers/Assistant Teachers by setting up for, and cleaning up after breakfast, lunch, and snack. Clean and sanitize the classroom as needed.
- Love to engage! Develop your ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan for children, as well as effectively communicate with families.
- Love to learn! Complete extensive training on childcare, preschool and child development topics.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related program (High School, College or Certificate programs accepted)
- The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children
- Experience working with children preferred
- Regular, in person attendance at designated company site is required to ensure necessary teamwork, personal interaction, and supervision.
