Job Summary:

As a Study Technician you’ll work in a fast paced, team environment and apply your scientific curiosity in researching the effectiveness, safety and toxicity of drugs in early development animal research studies while maintaining the highest standards of animal care and welfare in accordance with the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC).

Schedule:  2nd Shift - 10am earliest start, latest is midnight. Typically starts at 11am or 12am for an 8 or 10 hour shift; work rotating weekends, holidays and overtime with supplementary compensation.

  • Handling and restraining animals

  • Administering test items

  • Collecting biological samples

  • Performing clinical observations

  • Collecting and reviewing data in accordance with the Good Laboratory Practice Regulations (GLP) and standard operating procedures

  • Organizing study related activities and data

Education Required

  • Bachelor degree in Life Sciences OR

  • Associate degree in Laboratory Animal Technology, Veterinary Technology, or in Histology

Experience

  • No experience is required with a Bachelor Degree

  • 6 months to 2 years of related experience with an Associate degree
