Minimum Qualifications:
Six years of experience* producing, shooting, and editing exceptional commercial or social media videos. Experience in live event production is a plus.

- College study in a related field may be substituted for up to four years of experience with 30 credit hours equaling one year of experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience producing, shooting, and editing high quality video content
- Strong cinematography skills
- An excellent eye for lighting, staging, framing and creative filming techniques to create dynamic and impactful videos
- Technologically savvy
- When needed, Travel throughout New York State to various DOL events to shoot and produce social media content on a deadline
- Ability to work both in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and independently
- Excellent coordination and management skills
- Superb organizational and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented with the ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects from start to conclusion on time
- Ability to initiate and maintain relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders
Duties Description
Standard Duties:
As an employee of the Communications Office the incumbent completes the full range of operations and production projects as follows:

- Shoot and edit on-location and in-house videos assigned by communications leaders
- Manages and track progress of projects to ensure timely completion
- Ensure on-time execution and delivery of high-quality video productions
- Travel on a regular basis (approximately 30%-50%) to cover DOL events and production shoots.
- Develop and pitch video story ideas
- Act as crew chief/field producer for certain off-site shoots
- Set up and operate in field productions
- Functions as senior editor on advanced video production projects.
- Conduct interviews with video subjects
- Coach on-screen talent and voice talent
- Keep yourself current with the latest developments and trends in video production
Additional Comments
Funding Approval. Travel percentage will be 30% - 50%.
Telecommuting will be discussed at the time of the interview.
