Job Details :
- Perform semi-skilled and limited skilled work in the maintenance of streets.
- Stormwater and rights-of-way maintenance.
- Will be assigned to one or several job functions within the classification depending upon the needs of the department.
- Works under the general guidance and direction of the Street & Stormwater Supervisor.
- Perform required labor involved in construction and maintenance projects as part of a crew.
- Perform other manual labor and maintenance duties as assigned.
- Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
Pre-Employment Testing :
Components of the following pre-employment testing for our client may be conducted by Labor Solutions, Inc., and must be successfully completed by the temp :
- Criminal history background checks.
- Drug Screen
Requirements :
- Knowledge of principles, practices, methods, materials, and tools of several trades.
- Occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Follow oral and written instructions.
- Prepare and maintain records of activities.
- Support of team members.
- Perform manual work.
- Communicate tactfully and effectively with your peers and management.
- Attendance is mandatory.
- Ability to work safely.

Primary Work Location : Work is performed primarily outdoors.
Physical Demands :
The work is medium work which requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
The following physical abilities are required :
Balancing : Maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
The amount of balancing exceeds that needed for ordinary locomotion and maintenance of body equilibrium.
Climbing, crawling, crouching, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, standing, stooping, visual acuity, walking.
