JOB DESCRIPTION QA/QC Chemist (2511)
Location: SW Houston Area
Position Summary:The QA/QC Chemist is responsible for the analysis of raw, in-process, and finished goods for a chemical manufacturing facility.
Essential Functions:
- Utilize a variety of analytical techniques to test samples during all steps of production Analytical techniques can include HPLC, GC, ICP, HPLC, IC, LC, viscosity, surface tension, etc Conduct basic calibration & maintenance on equipment Follow all safety protocols Accurately report all data from analysis into system Assist with lab inventory Ensure a clean and safe work environment Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field with 0-2 years' industry experience Associates/High school diploma with 2-4 years' industry experience
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to work independently and in a group setting Basic computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office products Ability to effectively multi-task and work under pressure
Type of Assignment:
- Temp - Hire
Shift Schedule:
Mon Fri 8 AM - 5 PM with possibility of working split shift 11 AM - 8 PM
