Bartender for The Lackman

The Lackman, in OTR, is now hiring Bartenders with experience building craft cocktails, craft beer knowledge, and 1-2 years as a bartender in a high-volume bar. Weekend availability is a must.

The Lackman is a one of-a-kind bar experience by 4 Entertainment Group (4EG), located at 1237 Vine St., in the Lackman building, built by turn-of-the-century Cincinnati brewer Herman Lackman. The bar’s signage reflects the label Herman Lackman used on his beer bottles.

The Lackman, known for our knowledgeable bar team, offers a full bar and eclectic wine selection. Our diverse beer selection includes 14 beers on tap and more than 30 bottled beers covering crafts, imports and domestics.

Skills and Abilities Required

• Excellent communication skills
• Excels in a team environment
• Must demonstrate responsibility, personal accountability and reliability
• Expected to handle self in a professional manner throughout shifts
• Must keep a clean work space
• Ability to cut fruit for garnishes
• Proficient with POS systems

Required Experience

• Must have experience building craft cocktails, and craft beer knowledge
• At least one to two years of high-volume bartending experience required
• Must maintain alcohol knowledge and safety certifications as required by company and city/state
• High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred

Physical Demands

• Physical exertion, including standing for long periods of time, bending, climbing, lifting and moving up to 50 lbs
• Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation
• Ability to freely access all areas of the bar/restaurant, including behind the bar, kitchen and storage areas
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and certain holidays
