L3 PROGRAM SPECIALIST JOB DESCRIPTION

Ladies Learning to Lead (L3), a 501(c)3 organization established in 2012, seeks a dynamic self-starter to serve as its Program Specialist. The Program Specialist works closely with the organization’s Regional Coordinator, Statewide Program Coordinator, Executive Director, staff, and volunteer-led chapters to achieve the organization’s goal. JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Program Specialist position has the unique opportunity to make a difference by helping launch and manage the brand-new regional L3 office in 1 of 6 regions: Northwest (NW-Tallahassee), Northeast (NE-Jacksonville), Central (C- Orlando), Southeast (SE-Ft. Lauderdale), Southern (S-Miami) or Suncoast (SC-Tampa). This position manages the office and handles duties for the regional coordinator. Performs a wide range of community outreach, administrative and office support activities for the program to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization and program outcomes. Tabulating and interpreting of required data, and special projects including event planning, region specific marketing, social media platforms, website, and newsletters updates for the region.

This position leads community outreach to mentees, career and college mentors, local agencies and organizations interacting by phone, email, or in person with outside parties to solicit orders for goods or services, requests donations, makes appointments, collects information or conducts follow-up, executes community engagement plans, introduces L3, communicates the importance of supporting L3 persuasively through personal interactions, writes proposals, updates letters and progress reports.

This position will report to the Regional Coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Associate’s degree in office administration, management or related field preferred
  • Computer literate and proficient using Microsoft Suite, Teams, etc. including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Canva, Constant Contact, etc.
  • Experience using office machinery (fax, printer, copier, phone systems etc.)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Outstanding communicator both verbally and written
  • A demonstrated work ethic with an ability to multitask and juggle changing priorities.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to work with metrics, analyze data, Excel abilities.
  • Ability to stay calm in stressful situations and meet strict quotas
  • Strong grasp on the company’s products, services and customer service policies

LOCATION/WORK SCHEDULE:

This position is part time employment working 15-20 hours per week at the L3 office during normal office hours (9:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday) and based out of regional office in ______________ [(NW-Tallahassee), (NE-Jacksonville), (C- Orlando), (SE-Ft. Lauderdale), (S-Miami) or (SC-Tampa)]. Working in the L3 office and remotely in the field, splitting your time responsibly to assure an active presence for the public.

COMPENSATION:

Rate of Pay, $15.00 - $18.00 per hour depending on experience (overtime pay not available)
