Job Summary: The Network Security Solution Analyst will support our federal client s cybersecurity shared service delivery and implementation efforts for a Protective DNS Resolver Service. The ideal candidate will be able to apply their broad cybersecurity background to operational, risk management, and programmatic support tasks for the standup, implementation, and deployment of the Protective DNS shared service to federal civilian agencies customers. In this role, the candidate will provide input on technical documents, design and development efforts, and standards and customer guidance, as well as collaborate with other key stakeholders in the program. The role will involve analyzing and translating operational, functional, and technical requirements and considerations into inputs for strategic plans and policy efforts, and subsequently analyzing service delivery results/findings to develop project recommendations.
Our client s program builds federal cybersecurity governance and risk management capacity through actionable strategies and solutions. In support of that, the Analyst will perform qualitative and quantitative research to identify key themes, trends, and opportunities and support technical roadmap planning, analysis of alternatives (AoA), technical assistance program, and documentation. The Analyst will also develop and deliver project briefings to clients and stakeholders and provide support for planning and facilitating meetings, documenting key takeaways, and executing on meeting outcomes and action items. The ideal candidate will build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
Primary duties of the Analyst are to:
- work with the client on day-to-day management of service to include system performance monitoring, customer onboarding and standup activities, regular recurring customer feedback interactions, and coordinating escalated issue resolution with customer and contracted vendor.
- ensure consistent operational support processes and artifacts are in place prior to service launch to facilitate adoption and customer management of risks, incidents, and issues.
- routinely engage with client and customer representatives to address ongoing customer service topics such as: service performance, quality, continuous improvement, and capturing all other forms of customer feedback.
- assist PM and Operations Lead in executing required reporting and responding to requests for information.
A successful candidate will be able to identify issues within the technology stack and then advise our client on solutions they can understand. Part of the role not only involves in proposing creative solutions but also explaining to stakeholders the nature of the problems and the options open to them for solving them. The candidate will need to be able to evaluate and assess the expectations of our client and their stakeholders and then advise on technical solutions that meet those expectations and criteria. The candidate should be able to make recommendations to achieve better integration across the agency s offerings and customers systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in leading or supporting large cybersecurity or IT programs or projects
- Senior position: Bachelor s degree and 10 years of experience
- Mid-level position: Bachelor s degree and 3-10 years of experience
- Demonstrated experience developing and presenting relevant project management documentation, onboarding and guidance documents, executive briefs, strategic planning documents, and white papers
- Demonstrated ability to apply fundamental cybersecurity and IT concepts to tasks and projects
- Familiarity with industry standards, federal cybersecurity policies, and NIST guidance documents outlining cybersecurity best practices and standards (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5, NIST Risk Management Framework)
- Fundamental knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities
- Successful track record performing and driving project management coordination activities for complex IT or cybersecurity projects
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and problem-solving in a team setting
- Demonstrated experience with effectively communicating with senior government clients: leading discussions, confidently presenting project status, and proposing relevant and effective solutions
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to attain a U.S. government public trust and/or security clearance if required
- Excellent oral and written communication/presentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple customers
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in enterprise architecture, enterprise network administration, enterprise network architecture, network security operations, DNS security and configuration, network resiliency, or Federal network operations/history
- Experience in federal IT/cybersecurity consulting
- Experience developing, managing, or delivering shared services (especially in the government sector) or SaaS.
- Experience supporting DHS or CISA cybersecurity programs or initiatives such as the CDM Program, Cyber Quality Service Management Office, etc.
- Knowledge of specific operational impacts of cybersecurity lapses
- Willingness to obtain relevant IT, cybersecurity, project management certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCNA, PMP, ITIL, FAI, etc.)
Clearance:
- Secret Clearance or above (desired but not required)
