LaForce is looking for a Hollow Metal Estimator to be responsible for calculating product costs while determining the issues involved in developing the bid for the Hollow Metal section.
Major Responsibilities

Read the specifications and other documents to the project to become familiar with the requirements. This requires analyzing each piece of information for that bid utilizing the individual's learned knowledge.

Price the materials that have been quantified using computer programs.

Develop a strategy that minimizes risk and provides the greatest opportunity for the salesperson to sell the project

Communicate with customers and co-workers through: face to face contact, phone, fax and/or e-mail.

Communicate with factories, vendor representatives, or product distributors through phone, fax, e-mail, or internet to obtain pricing and information about a product.

Work with multiple co-workers and departments for developing bid strategy on issues that overlap among the various trades

Read and work with documents that are provided in either paper or electronic format

Help to develop and change pricing programs, with the aid of others, as required by industry changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or an Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to define practical problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to solve problems.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, fractions, area and the fundamentals of solid and plane geometry
- Successful completion of a drug screen and background check required
