About the Role:
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for the timely and accurate organization and completion of shipping-related tasks. This includes packaging products according to specification, shipping orders to wholesale account partners and customer daily, coordinating and tracking shipments, and communicating with carriers, vendors, customers and colleagues. Additionally, this role is responsible for assessing the performance of the shipping function, identifying waste and opportunities for continuous improvement, and recommending more efficient and effective processes.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and coordinate domestic and international shipping
- Receive and process orders, verify quantities, including labeling and packaging items, and confirm accuracy
- Track shipments, ensuring all orders are appropriately packaged and shipped in a safe, efficient manner to wholesale account partners and customers daily
- Communicate with vendors, wholesale partners, and customers to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Track shipments and delivery dates, and update customers as needed
- Schedule and coordinate pick-up and delivery of shipments
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, including dates, costs, and tracking numbers
- Establish key performance indicators, track results, and assess outcomes for the shipping function
- Recommend more efficient and effective modes of operation
- Partner with UPS, FedEx and other vendors to eliminate wasteful spending and enact continuous improvement
- Establish meaning, mutually beneficial relationships with colleagues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or business administration
- 1-3 years’ experience in shipping/logistics role
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with the movement of international packages (customs, duties, govt. documentation)
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible to work longer shifts and on weekends as needed
Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
