Job Overview:
As a Maintenance Technician at Lake City Living, you will be an integral part of our team responsible for ensuring the overall maintenance and functionality of our residential properties. Your expertise will contribute to the positive living experiences of our residents by promptly addressing maintenance issues and implementing preventive measures.
Responsibilities:
1. Property Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, and appliance repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues proactively.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and the property management team.
2. Repair and Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
- Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty components and equipment.
- Ensure the timely completion of maintenance tasks to minimize resident inconvenience.
3. Preventive Maintenance:
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of equipment and systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and reports.
4. Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Report any safety concerns or violations immediately.
5. Communication:
- Maintain open communication with the Property Manager and other team members.
- Provide updates on maintenance activities and report any significant issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in maintenance is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a related role.
- Knowledge of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
