Lakeshore Beverage Safety Manager

Lakeshore Beverage is currently seeking a Safety Manager to join the Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing company Safety policies and procedures in a warehouse. This individual should have excellent attention to detail and have the ability to identify and prevent hazards in the workplace.

The Safety Manager will promote a company culture focused on safety awareness aimed at keeping all employees safe and preventing safety and accident events through communication, programs, training, policy development and enforcement and analysis and reporting of data.

The Safety Manager will work closely with the HR Team for worker’s compensation, as well as to identify hazards and prevent injury. They will ensure our warehouses are being safely monitored and all safety programs are being utilized through daily observations.

The Safety manager will be in charge of all warehouse, delivery, and administrative safety measures.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, interpersonal skills, great organizational skills, ability to adapt, quick thinking, and strong leadership skills. OSHA certified, and 5 years of management skills are a must.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
• Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
• Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
• Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
• Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
• Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
• Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
• Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
• Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics
• OSHA certified

• Proven experience as safety manager
• Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines

• Exceptional interpersonal abilities
• BSc/BA in safety management or relevant field is preferred
