Lakeshore Talent is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll & HRIS Analyst for a client, a large company based in Centennial, CO.
This is a direct hire opportunity!
Location : Centennial, CO
Pay : $72,000 $82,000 per year
Schedule : The position is fully in-office for the first month for training. Most of the team works in the office four days a week with one day remote flexibility.
Responsibilities :
- Serve as a backup to the Sr Payroll Specialist.
- Assist the Sr Payroll Specialist with research to ensure compliance with City, State, and Federal guidelines.
- Proactively reviewing the updated HR rules / regulations in multistate payroll system.
- Audit the payroll each pay period for integrity, accuracy, and completeness.
- Utilize Excel V-lookups and Pivot tables for data analysis.
- Reconcile one-time payments by comparing payroll input to output.
- Establish baselines to validate overtime pay and regularly scheduled hours for non-exempt employees.
- Define clear segregation of duties and document them.
- Create documentation of payroll audit procedures.
- Analyze the current use of the ADP time and attendance module.
- Develop processes and build relationships with Operations Supervisors on ADP deadlines.
- Provide explanations of variances between payrolls.
- Complete all state and federal pay reporting requirements, including pay equity analysis for Affirmative Action.
- Generate payroll upload files and reports as needed from ADP.
- Create merit and bonus templates and collaborate with appropriate leaders to complete them.
- Manage the development and ongoing evaluation of the company’s compensation structure and philosophy.
- Lead recommendations, development, implementation, and oversight of variable pay / incentive programs and policies.
- Administer and communicate employee pay adjustments such as promotions, market adjustments, and reclassifications.
- Assist with special projects related to pay programs.
- Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques consistent with current operating procedures, safety practices, IRS guidelines, and Company policies.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or 11 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- 6-9 years of payroll experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Prior experience utilizing multiple payroll platforms, with one of these platforms being ADP or expert level experience with ADP.
- HRIS experience
- Strong knowledge of HR rules and regulations
- Must be interactive, communicative, and possess high analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications :
- FPC or CPP certification
- Payroll experience in a manufacturing type of environment
- Experience completing government pay reporting
