What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist position at Lakewood Country Club?
Lakewood Country Club is a private, member owned club originally founded in 1908. Our rolling, wooded golf course was designed by Tom Bendelow and was later updated by Donald Ross in 1916. Most recently, the course completed a renovation by Gil Hanse who brought back many of the earlier Donald Ross features that were removed in the 1960’s. A new Clubhouse was built in 2007.
We are currently looking for a new receptionist who is Outgoing, Friendly, Professional, and Self-Motivated.
Brief Job Description
Acts as the first point of contact for members and guests by answering phones and responding to email correspondence. Communicates with various departments within the club and is responsible for various forms of communication to our membership. Assists with general office tasks as needed by the General Manager or Department Heads.
General duties include, but are not limited to:
- Answering phones
- Making reservations and answering questions
- Greeting members and guests
- Ordering general office supplies
- Mailings (Newsletters, Brochures, Birthday Cards, Notices, etc)
- Updating the weekly features on the website
- Creating Lunch/Dinner Feature menus for the restaurant
- Creating Buffet Signs, Room Signs, typing Event Menus
- Updating Display Signs weekly
- Varying office projects
- Creating a weekly event calendar and monthly Birthday/Anniversary posting for staff use
- Provide administrative assistance for the General Manager, Membership Director, HR Director and Finance Director as needed (Power Point presentations, proof reading, typing letters, etc)
The Ideal Candidate will:
- Have an outgoing and friendly demeanor
- Be an effective communicator capable of engaging a wide range of people on the phone and in person
- Have excellent telephone, organizational and time-management skills
- Be able to work with independence and multi-task effectively
- Have general computer knowledge (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook)
- Have uncompromising punctuality and reliability
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: The Lakewood Country Club will offer competitive compensation for the right candidate, including:
- $20.00 to $22.00 hourly rate
