What are the responsibilities and job description for the HRIS Analyst 5 position at Lam Research?
As a senior professional in the HRIS field, the HRIS Analyst uses HR functional and system knowledge in building solutions to meet business requirements and resolve critical HR system issues. The HRIS team is responsible for all global HR systems associated with the automation, collection, accessibility, and usage of employee information. Works with the SAP/SuccessFactors Cloud and other Cloud Solutions (such as WorkHuman, Glint, Ingentis etc.) to meet the requirements of Human Resource management and Lam business units. Works with Global Human Resources personnel and GIS Applications team to evaluate HRIS software needs and may design new or modify existing HR systems to meet changing demands. Serves as HR department liaison to GIS function and other BU’s across Lam that have dependencies on HR Data.
- Participates in global projects aimed at improving HR performance and efficiency, including but not limited to new medium to large-scale deployments.
- Conducts analysis for core HR processes, develops solutions to achieve business goals to ensure successful implementations.
- Project management for small to medium sized projects, including building project plan, communication/training plan, and change management considerations.
- Creates BRD (business requirements documents), working with functional owners, to support projects and enhancements in the HR Systems
- Partners with offshore GIS HR Application team to solution for and perform development work to meet BRD requirements
- Prepares testing scripts and coordinates functional user testing.
- Adheres to project documentation and sign off procedures for all system changes
- As the module or tool SME, makes recommendation for enhancements and drives their execution.
- Provides functional HRIS support to the HR community on HR processes and systems, including creating and rolling out training or presentations to end users
- Ensures data security and standards are adhered to; ensures local compliance
- Participates in audit and data integrity standards related to HR Cloud Solutions
- May work with payroll and its personnel to coordinate audit and reporting functions.

- Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience with HR practices, processes and technology in one or more of the following areas: Core HR, Compensation, Benefits, Recruitment or Performance
- Experience in workforce management (HRIS) tools, reporting, audit, and automation methodologies
- Preferred applications knowledge includes: SuccessFactors modules EC, Recruiting, Compensation, Onboarding, or Performance/Goals/Succession; Cornerstone LMS; MS Excel and Powerpoint
- A creative thinker who challenges the status quo and fosters unique approaches to evaluating systems improvements
- An empowered self-starter able to work without significant oversight and follow through to impactful execution
- Excellent inter-personal and collaboration skills to facilitate effective working relationships; strong verbal/written communication skills
