The Omaha, NE office is seeking a qualified, energetic, organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and observant individual to serve as a Stormwater Technician. The position is responsible for monitoring contractor compliance with all Grading and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) during the coverage period from the time the permits are granted until the time the permits are closed out. A significant portion of the work is performed outdoors, in the field, away from an office environment.

The ability to work independently or within a team; Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Stormwater management or Surveying experience; The ability to interpret civil engineering plans and specifications with attention to detail; Excellent verbal and written communication skills to relay plan and specification requirements to contractors and to effectively communicate with members of the project team; Well-developed problem-solving skills; The ability to collaborate with contractors, clients and coworkers; Proven organizational skills; The ability to work well with a variety of character types and backgrounds; Basic computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel, Adobe or Bluebeam software; The ability to physically maneuver around construction sites. The ability to lift and carry 50 pounds of weight; The availability to work overtime including Saturdays as needed; A dependable personal vehicle to access our project sites; and Valid driver’s license with minimum state required liability insurance and clean driving record.
