How you will spend your days as a Design Assistant:
- Working closely with the Cabinet Designer to assist with the design, estimating and ordering process as well as following up with customers and staff to ensure the job is completed in an accurate and timely manner
- Greet clients to the design center, assess clients needs and assist the customer with product selection and order appropriate materials and quantities for the projects
- Conduct bid and prep proposal functions, put together proposal packets and presentations for commercial customers.
- Order project materials, check acknowledgments for cost accuracy, and arrange project schedules, sub-contractor schedules and material deliveries
- Understand all aspects of customer billing cycle, cash vs. credit, and how to figure and process a deposit by having a thorough knowledge of the paperwork flow and distribution process utilizing third party billing services
- Maintain basic knowledge of cabinet design software 2020, order entry of industry related software, Microsoft Outlook, Word and especially Excel
- Possess exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, able to effectively juggle change orders, contract addendums, and schedule changes and communicate to all parties
- Coordinate the delivery to contractor customers on an as needed basis

Design Assistant Requirements:
- Kitchen & Bath industry experience preferred but not required. Will train if needed.
- Basic computer-aided drafting skills, good verbal communication skills and design presentation skills
- Basic knowledge of kitchen and bathroom design and general knowledge in all aspects of design and construction
- Ability to interpret customer ideas into realistic plans
- Articulate deadlines, expectations and needs with vendors, customers and management
- Ability to perform tasks and manage time with minimal oversight in a team environment
- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment where priorities can be redirected
