Position Objective:
The Project Manager reports directly to the Managing Partner but works very closely with several members of the team. This position serves a vital role in LandKey’s success by planning and executing the various projects needed to enhance each of our properties in preparation for listing.
A successful candidate has an innate ability to multi-task as this position will balance several projects simultaneously. This individual works in a very hand on capacity and must have the ability to be flexible and adaptable to ever changing priorities, remain organized and timely in performing necessary tasks, and most importantly, has a willingness to hold our core values to the highest standard. Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of this position is to manage all projects for existing properties. This includes but is not limited to:
- Partners with Operations Assistant regularly on progress of each project
- Works with the team to produce project plans in a cost conscious, productive and efficient manner
- Works with surveyors and platters, as needed, on work proposals and timelines, then oversees the project to completion
- Coordinates with 3rd party vendors and subcontractors for all land development projects such as water wells, property access points, fencing or electricity being added to a property
- Manages project budgets and timelines
- Reviews work progress on a daily basis and provides updates to leaderships as needed
- Drives out to properties as needed to facilitate project execution
- Communicates property improvements to the sales agents
- Participates as a strategic partner for the team by continuously sharing ideas that will progress the company and/or streamline current practices
- Other duties as assigned
Training, Skills, Knowledge and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in a project management position
- Experience working in real estate or land development, strongly preferred
- Experience creating and managing project budgets
- High level of financial acumen
- Ability to multi-task and independently prioritize
- Ability to establish and maintain rapport with various levels of professionals
- Experience working with MS Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and MS Project
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills – written, verbal, in person and over the phone
- Valid Texas Drivers License, required
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
- Frequent driving to properties in the extended surrounding areas of Houston
- Frequent walking for extended periods of time in a raw land environment
- Extended periods of time working on a computer and over the phone
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
