The Financial Analyst is responsible for the compilation and maintenance of reliable financial information. The Analyst produces monthly financial analyses and Asset Liability Management Committee (ALMC) reporting package including, but not limited to, various special financial projects as required.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

Financial reporting and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and Profit & Loss (P&L) management

Coordinate and collect input data from different departments, check data integrity, summarize and convert data, run models, verify, analyze, and communicate output data

Assist in developing and maintaining forecasting models, research financial and economic trends for specific projects, and provide technical solutions for business analysis

Analyze current financial results to identify and address evolving business issues and opportunities

Perform reporting and analysis to support presentation and ad-hoc requests

Participate in the month end closing of the Credit Union’s financial statements

Assist in the coordination and preparation of the annual financial plan

Partner with business leadership to assess the financial implications of ongoing efforts to grow the organization

Develop presentations to communicate business and analysis results to senior leadership audiences

Assist with the preparation and communication with regulators and other third parties

Independently manage and prioritize workload
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent combination of working experience/training

Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Access

Experience in financial analysis
-
MBA Graduate in Finance or related/equivalent field.

Previous working experience and knowledge of credit unions and applicable policies, procedures, laws and regulations.

Prior experience with budget and financial forecasting models within a financial institution.
