What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Tier 1 and 2 Support: Contractors Needed position at Lannan Technologies?
Lannan Technologies will be conducting training to bring on new Tier I and II contractors to support the growth of the company in the Boston Metro area. We are filling 7 contractor positions. Friday, February 9th will be a PAID, onsite training day to learn about the company, become familiar with the help desk platform we use, solve a few tickets, learn about the clients we service in the area, and become a valued member of the Lannan team.
Although this is a contracted position to begin(1099), there is potential for these contractors to become permanent employees with the company after they have proven their professionalism, technical aptitude, and the ability to work in a team environment.
Please bring your laptop and government issued ID with you. Business casual dress is required. Jeans and t-shirts are not acceptable.
Pay: $200 for the day. The day will not exceed 8 hours. Pay past this first day can be discussed with Lannan staff while onsite on Friday. Pay for this informational day does not reflect average pay of service desk and engineering staff of our company.
An interview on Zoom or Teams will be conducted on Wednesday, February 6th and Thursday, February 7th. If we think you would be a great fit for this paid training/hiring event, you will receive a call soon after the interview to confirm arrival time on Friday, February 8th at 8am.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for computer hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software applications
- Respond to user inquiries and resolve technical problems in a timely manner
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement solutions to improve IT infrastructure
- Document and maintain records of support activities and resolutions
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of IT equipment, including printers, scanners, and other peripherals
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and policies to protect company data
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements in IT support
Requirements:
- Proven experience in IT support or a related field
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems
- Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems such as Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira
- Understanding of firewall configurations and network security protocols
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Effective communication skills to interact with users at all levels of technical proficiency
