Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to join our MDVIP medical practice team. The Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our physician in providing personalized and comprehensive healthcare services to our patients. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist physician during patient examinations and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for medical appointments, including taking vital signs, reviewing medical history, and updating electronic health records.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician.
  • Perform laboratory tests, such as blood draws and urinalysis, and prepare specimens for processing.
  • Conduct routine medical procedures, such as EKGs and spirometry tests.
  • Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and preventive healthcare measures.
  • Coordinate patient referrals to specialists and diagnostic facilities as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and medical equipment.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of medical supplies.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care delivery.
  • Participate in training and professional development activities to stay updated on medical best practices and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a medical office or outpatient clinic setting preferred.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and colleagues.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • CPR certification preferred.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all patient interactions.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing job responsibilities and embrace continuous learning.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
