What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Clinician, Triage position at Lapeer County Community Mental Health?
Provides phone and face-to-face triage, crisis intervention, brief therapeutic interventions, and initial assessments to consumers requesting services. Develops interim treatment plan for consumers accessing services. Provides consultation to internal and external consumers. Conducts hospitalization pre-screens at various community sites.
Significant Duties: Responsible for providing Mobile Intensive Crisis Stabilization as a member of the agency MICCS Team. This position also provides outpatient therapy services as well as a variety of intake, triage, and emergency services. Provide mental health services to walk-in consumers as well as to consumers who utilize the telephone emergency line. Participate in the agency’s after-hours rotation (24-hour) emergency service.
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related mental health discipline from an accredited college or university. Will supervise limited license, prefer full licensure in psychology, social work, or counseling from the State of Michigan
