Join our team! Laredo Medical Center’s is looking for LVN's in several of our units. Each LPN reports directly to the unit’s Director, while also having on-shift leadership enhanced by LMC’s Charge RNs and/or Clinical Coordinators. Additional patient support is provided in each shift by Patient Care Techs, or Nurse Aids. Relocation and Sign-on Bonuses are available for qualified candidates. Position's Purpose and Essential Functions:
Administers nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Participates in the implementation and evaluation of patient care. Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. High school diploma and certification as a licensed practical nurse. Associates degree in Nursing preferred. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Required: Graduate of an accredited LVN program.
- Required: Licensed as a L.V.N. by the Texas State Board of Registered Nurse Examiners.
- Required: BLS (or obtained during orientation).
- Preferred: One (1) year full time or three (3) years part time experience in acute care setting.
- Letters of Recommendation are preferred for applicants with less than 1 year of applicable experience in nursing.
- Handle with Care (or obtained within six months of employment) in required specialty.
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
