What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Manager position at LaSalle Network?
LaSalle Network is partnering with a Consulting company Covington area. They are in search of a Tax Manager to lead a team of Tax Preparers. They are looking for someone with a Player/Coach mentality that understands the balance of supporting a team but also doing some individual contribution work.
Tax Manager Responsibilities:
- Mentor a team of tax preparers and act as a resource for resolution of tax regulation questions
- Prepare/Review tax returns with a focus on adding client value through tax strategy and business planning, and working with our client's in-house financial planning team
- Interact virtually and directly with clients handling questions, planning and consulting
- Oversee tax projections for estimates throughout the year
- Opportunity to provide clients with IRS representation
- Remain up to date on current tax regulations
- Provide input in process improvement and business projects as they arise
Tax Manager Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in an accounting or tax preparation firm
- Active CPA license or EA
- BA Accounting/Finance/Business
- Extensive knowledge preparing Individual, Partnership, Corporation, Trust and Estate Tax returns
- Success in researching and resolving complex tax issues
- Experience reviewing and mentoring junior preparer tax returns preferred
- Experience with Microsoft office products, Adobe PDF (tic tie calculate), QuickBooks and tax preparation software such as Ultra Tax preferred
- Experience managing team budget, workflow and performance goals preferred
