About the Role
The Digital Asset Management (DAM) Lead is an integral part of Latham’s Brand & Communications team. This role will be responsible for the strategic oversight and management of the firm's digital asset database, while collaborating with technology colleagues, development teams, vendors, and agencies for the customization, implementation, and integration of the DAM system, focusing on efficient migration, system configuration, and maintaining data integrity during new system rollouts. This role will be located in our Global Services Office located in downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
- Developing, maintaining, and continuously improving workflows for the creation, storage, retrieval, and distribution of digital assets, while designing comprehensive training programs, including tip sheets, workflows, and other documentation, to ensure firmwide proficiency in DAM system usage
- Governing the DAM with a consistent taxonomy, naming conventions, and asset types, applying metadata expertise to ensure digital assets are accurately tagged, categorized, and easily accessible
- Proactively managing and determining the types of digital assets stored in the DAM, ensuring they are leveraged effectively across all digital platforms and marketing initiatives, while upholding the brand's image and standards, and providing necessary asset variations such as relevant crops
- Coordinating permissions and access to digital assets across teams, ensuring appropriate use and distribution
- Monitoring system upgrades and technological advancements to enhance the DAM's functionality and support its growth
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Demonstrate proficient project management and leadership skills
- Display excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences
- Possess strong organizational skills to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple deadlines
And have:
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in digital asset management, with a strong background in setting up and managing DAM systems either in-house or with an agency
- A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent in Library Science, Information Management, Digital Media, or a related field; a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
