Education and Experience Requirement
High school diploma or equivalent and formal education or 5 years of experience in similar function, CNC programming using CAM package and CAD. MasterCam Experience preferred.
Skills Required
- Extensive knowledge of a machine shop.
- Extensive computer skills including history with CAD and CNC Programming and ability in custom product design.
- Demonstrated ability to program extremely high precision, complex, and intricate parts on both mills and lathes.
- Experience in programming machining of exotic and high performance super-alloys.
- Able to create or modify post processer programs a plus.
- Proven ability to program solid model surfaces.
- Extensive experience in programming 5 and 6 axis machines.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Advanced ability to sequence part manufacture efficiency.
- Possess excellent math skills including ability to read calipers, micrometers and associated measuring equipment.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Physical- sedentary, proficient in using a PC keyboard.
- Working Hours- fulltime
- Personal Traits- Good communication skills with positive teamwork attitude. Conscientious attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow direction and or work independently, able to multi-task and trouble shoot. Punctuality and safe work habits.
Level of Responsibility and Authority
Timely completion of job functions, prepare and requisition machining department materials and supply items, correspond with vendors and customers as required. Adhere to AS-9100 quality systems. Responsible for producing quality workmanship, which meets or exceeds requirements
Job Duties
- Program orders for the machining department; make all necessary notations in accordance with work instructions or the job travelers. Advise project coordinator/manger of requirement changes to the job traveler.
- Ensure the highest quality standards are met with all work done.
- Ensure output meets required deadlines while executing above.
- Ensure ISO quality system procedures are followed.
- Order material and supply items as needed.
- Accurately maintain MES system as instructed.
- Arrive to work in a punctual manner and be willing to work overtime when needed.
- Assist in monthly inventory process.
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
