Education and Experience Requirement
Min Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource or 2 -3 years recruiting experience required.
Skills Required
- High standard of attention to detail.
- Ability to work with electronic recruiting tools including social media, various posting sites, and an online recruiting tracking system.
- Ability to design and write training programs.
- Knowledgeable on affirmative action plans and programs.
- Excellent ability to communicate with tact and professionalism.
- Good organization skills, must be able to multi-task.
- Experienced in the use of Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and also as a team. Be self-motivated and driven
Minimum Job Requirements
- Physical- sedentary work, proficient in using a 10 key and proficient in using a PC keyboard. Ability to attend job fairs, schools and other institutions to recruit new employees.
- Working Hours- fulltime (40 hrs/week) employment
- Occasionally move products or office materials independently weighing up to 30 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Occasionally stand (if able) for an extended period of time when attending career fairs or employment events.
- Personal Traits- Good communication and telephone skills with pleasant demeanor. Conscientious attention to detail and accuracy.
Level of Responsibility and Authority
Timely completion of job functions. Contact recruiting and other staffing media, including online advertising, newspapers, job boards, temporary agencies, and social media and authorize expenditures as directed by the Director of Quality & Support Services. Call candidates to schedule interviews and interview them. Communicate job offers to candidates with the approval of the hiring manager Director of Quality & Support Services. Responsible for reporting recruiting activity in compliance with Affirmative Action requirements. Train employees and develop a curriculum as directed.
Job Duties
- Work with Director of Quality & Support Services to design and implement overall recruiting strategy to attract diverse talent using innovative methods
- Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs, advertise and post job openings across various Job Boards
- Screen resumes and short list candidates and schedule interviews
- Conduct in-person and phone interviews with candidates
- Administer appropriate interview process and hiring assessments
- Call candidates and coordinate interviews with the hiring managers
- Follow up on the interview process status and make job offers as authorized above.
- Work with staffing agencies to obtain temporary employees. Maintain relations
- Perform reference and background checks
- Communicate employer information and benefits during screening process
- Manage new hire paperwork
- Stay current on the company’s organization structure, personnel policy, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices
- Serve as a liaison with area employment agencies, colleges, and industry associations and participate in career fairs and drive community outreach programs.
- Maintain recruiting database and complete timely reports on employment activity
- Train employees on company policies and Quality Management System procedures and practices.
- Develop training tools.
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
