What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cable Install Tech position at Latitude, Inc.?
Working with an Excellent Client that is looking to hire an Expereince Cable Install Technician in the Woodbridge, VA area. This position will require traveling from site to site so having a Valid Drivers License is required as well as your own transportation (Per Diem will be provided).
Day to Day:
- Perform site surveys for potential customers to evaluate serviceability.
- Diagnose customer problems at service calls and restore functional service to existing customers.
- Install new customers with Internet service based on technology available, which includes mounting equipment at or above roof height, running Cat5-E or Fiber Optic cable from outside to the customer’s desired location.
- Configure routers and customer computers for access to Internet services.
- Perform equipment upgrades for existing customers

- Ability to work independently, using sound judgement principles.
- Must demonstrate accountability in order to set priorities, organize workload, handle multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced, high-change environment while managing multiple interruptions and adjustments to priorities throughout the day.
- Must demonstrate a desire to learn, supported with a love for technology.
- Must pass a drug screening test and a criminal background check.
- Must be able to use tools to install equipment.
