What are the responsibilities and job description for the Telugu Interpreter position at LATN?
LATN is currently seeking contract Telugu interpreters with experience interpreting in school and medical settings. Knowledge of Hindi a plus.
THIS IS NOT A FULL-TIME POSITION-This is a freelance position with assignments available within flexible business hours, Monday through Friday.
Duties:
- Provide interpreting services as an independent contractor in medical and social services structures.
- Comply with the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC) Code of Ethics and HIPAA regulations
- Perform duties in a professional manner.
- Turn in client worksheets and invoice within 24 hours of appointment
Qualifications:
- Must demonstrate fluency in English and a 2nd language
- Must have flexibility to accept assignments during weekdays and business hours.
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Awareness of the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice
- Able to comply with credentialing requirements for independent contractors working in healthcare facilities
- Able to pass language proficiency and Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice test
- Must be punctual, responsible, and have a reliable means of transportation.
