What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of SEO position at Launch Potato?
We are looking for someone to lead and own our organic search strategy for several websites, including our flagship site, FinanceBuzz.com.
You'll build and mentor a team of SEO specialists. Your team's mission is to help more people discover our content in the right place and at the right time, so they can find products, services, and advice to help them unlock the benefits of financial freedom and realize financial independence.
This role requires partnering with teams across the company. You’ll partner closely with the editorial team to make our content more discoverable, findable, digestible, and readable for both users and the search engine powers-that-be. You'll also work closely with our monetization team to optimize our content and build an overall strategy that increases revenue per session for our organic traffic. And you'll partner with the product and engineering teams to ensure our technical SEO is an A at all times and to test new page UI/UX to improve page performance.
To be successful in this role, you need to be comfortable moving between high-level strategy and in-the-weeds work. You need a passion for numbers, as well as a strong editorial sensibility and understanding of content quality.
If you’re constantly curious and love digging in to find solutions to problems, if you’re passionate about SEO and you’re always learning something new and uncovering insights, and if you love helping people through the power of organic content, then this role is for you!
