We are currently seeking behavior coach candidates for our Mifflin Park Elementary Transition Classroom. The selected candidate will become part of a team including a therapist and PA certified teacher. The behavior coach will provide assistance to program staff and participants through a range of behavioral interventions and support activities. The Behavior Coach should have the ability to manage a classroom, address behavior, implement behavioral intervention plans, resolve crisis and conflict situations and develop positive relationships with clients. Work setting is an academic program in a district classroom.
Responsibilities include:
• Developing positive relationships with students
• Utilizing behavioral interventions
• Assisting teacher in classroom management
• Addressing student conflict and crisis
• Participating as part of the transition team
• Collecting behavior data
Requirements:
• Preferred completion of general educational courses as would be needed to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related area.
Compensation package includes:
• $33,000
• 190 day contract – follow district schedule
