Registered Dietitian

Job Summary:
Registered Dietitian will provide outpatient individual medical nutrition therapy to clients of Lauren Haughey Nutrition, LLC. Clinical services include treatment of adolescents, adults, and families. We are currently looking for a dietitian who has interest and preferably experience with eating disorders and/or pediatric nutrition. We are looking for a provider who will work within a weight-inclusive lens and enjoys continued learning.

The ideal candidate will have experience and/or interest in one of the above, as well as preferably experience with pediatric nutrition and work with children, adolescents, and families.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform telehealth and/or on-site (South Burlington, VT) medical nutrition therapy services to patients of Lauren Haughey Nutrition, LLC, as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies.
• Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work is required.
• Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Lauren Haughey Nutrition, LLC.
• Respond to patients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc. or through the Lauren Haughey Nutrition, LLC website. Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such patients.
• Communicate with a patient’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.
• Timely complete written records for each patient including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time by Lauren Haughey Nutrition, LLC with the treatment of the patient within a timely fashion. Keep patient files accurate and up to date.
• Charge and collect payments from patients for services provided consistent with the policy and rate for such services as established by Lauren Haughey Nutrition, LLC.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by Lauren Haughey Nutrition, LLC.
• Conduct and regulate counseling services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the good will and reputation of Lauren Haughey Nutrition, LLC. Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers. Maintain professional boundaries.
• Passion for working with others (being collaborative) and helping our team members grow and learn.
• Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Align with Lauren Haughey Nutrition, LLCmission, vision, and values.
• Must be punctual in reporting to work.
• Registered Dietitian active with the Commission of Dietetic Registration.
• Active licensure/certification, preferably located in the state of Vermont. A copy must be provided to Lauren Haughey Nutrition, LLC.
• Goal will be to build to 20 client sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by Lauren Haughey Nutrition, LLC. Training and caseload will build with the potential to reach full-time status.
• Be organized and detail oriented.
• Be a team player.
• Be able to work independently on tasks assigned.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience with nutrition counseling and eating disorder training/experience or pediatric nutrition is highly preferred.
• Reliable, high-speed internet access, when working remotely.
• Access to private space, when working remotely.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive pay based on experience. Starting at $38 per hour.
• Paid sick time once average hours average 18 per week.
• Compensation for billable and non-billable hours.
• Use of company-owned laptop computer.
• Eligible for further benefits if/when caseload becomes full-time.
