The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our client's dynamic team. This role offers the chance to lead exciting residential projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the full project cycle and achieve project objectives
- Ensure effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors
- Conduct site visits and quality inspections
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- Provide regular project status updates to the CEO and other stakeholders
- Develop new products and systems as part of the team
- Engage in materials specification for ADUs and sheds
- Negotiate city permits and and ensure compliance with regulations
- Bachelor's Degree in architecture, construction science, or a related field, or equivalent working experience in an architectural company
- At least 5 years of experience in residential construction project management, ideally with ADUs and sheds
- Proficiency in reading architectural and engineering drawings
- Experience in permit negotiation and subcontractor management
- Strong skills in site inspections, quality control, inventory, budgeting, and cost control
- Ideally, experience with production and manufacturing project management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in construction project management software (Bluebeam, Procore, Clickup, Archicad)
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with a systematic approach to problem-solving
- A valid CA driver's license and the ability to drive within the San Francisco Bay Area
- Understanding of construction materials, methods, and architectural principles, with almost an engineer-like mindset
- Genuine interest in visiting construction sites, engaging with the technical aspects of projects and product development
- Paying close attention to detail, structured approach, and systematic thinking
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- High ethical standards
- Competitive base salary: $70,000 - $100,000 per year (negotiable based on experience)
- Bonuses for finished projects: $20,000 per year ($500 to $1,500 per project)
- Gas compensation upon provision of receipts
- 2-week PTO, including vacation and holidays
