Responsibilities
- Gather information about legal issues from the client in interviews
- Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer
- Coordinate law office activity, including the drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers
- Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motions
- Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed
- Coordinate and assist in the preparation of estate planning documents, including Trusts, Wills, Durable Powers of Attorney, and Advance Health Care Directives
- Assist in Trust Funding including preparation of trust transfer deeds and related documents
- Assist in Trust Administration
- Assist in Probate Administration
- Coordinate daily law firm activities including maintaining firm calendars, participating in client meetings, and assisting with client needs
- Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and maintaining files so that all documents are readily accessible
Qualifications
- Candidates must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
- Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills
- Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred
- Talented communicator and writer

Compensation
$25 - $35 hourly
