A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
As our Financial Controller, you are essential to keeping our finances in order and our budget balanced. In this role, you take charge of our accounting department, effectively managing our company's overhead expenses and our staff's workload. You strive to improve our operational efficiency by developing strategic financial controls and reporting systems. For every plumbing job we complete, you oversee the budget, costs, reports, and other logistics.
You maintain detailed records of our profits and margins, submitting both weekly and monthly financial reports. If we fall short of any set goals, you develop strategies to get our finances back on track. You also handle a variety of essential matters such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, job costing, and accounting records. Additionally, you manage our accounting software, submitting error reports if anything starts acting buggy. You take great pride in balancing our books and helping our company stay in the black!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
- College degree in accounting
- Knowledge about generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Experience with Foundation accounting software would be preferred but is not required. Controller experience in construction would be a bonus. Are you extremely organized and detail-oriented?
