What are the responsibilities and job description for the Testing Coordinator position at Lazarus Naturals?

This full time position reports directly to the Sr. QA Manager and will be responsible for the following:

  • Process internal samples for potency analysis via HPLC
  • Coordinate with R&D, Manufacturing, the Farm, and Operations teams to ensure testing needs are met and data is organized.
  • Generate customer facing COAs and upload to test repository
  • Compiling data and analyzing results.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, testing to support our manufacturing, product release, and stability studies.
  • Perform and manage all secondary food safety and quality testing.
  • Maintain and manage laboratory equipment and all required consumables.
  • Preparing specimens and samples for analysis for third party testing, as well as creating COCs.
  • Maintain written and electronic records of laboratory experiments according to GLP standards.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and keeping work area clean and orderly at all times
  • Maintain adherence with all company policies and procedures.
  • Sample handling and tracking and waste disposal.
  • Use and calibration of pipettes, analytical balances, and other basic lab equipment.
  • Assist R&D testing department with research and development of new and existing methods.
  • Validate accuracy of current testing and lab SOPs, as well as develop new SOPs for new processes.
  • Ensure limit triage is current and update as needed.
  • Identify areas for Continuous Improvement within the testing procedures and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

This position is ideal for a candidate who enjoys working in a hands-on technical role within an R&D/QA testing team. The ideal candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

  • BS in chemistry, biology or related field and has experience running an HPLC.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, strong critical thinking skills, and demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and G-Suite applications.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to the needs of a growing organization.
