OPPORTUNITY

This Business Valuation Manager role is a great opportunity for anyone passionate about business valuation and is looking to step into a highly visible role with sophisticated clients. Projects will encompass client operations across a range of industries and hires will have the opportunity to work on a diverse set of client engagements. You would be joining a progressive office in Nashville and receiving mentorship and support from seasoned industry professional in the market. High-performing candidates have a clearly defined path for advancement to Senior Manager and/or Shareholder roles within LBMC.

SCOPE OF WORK

  • The primary focus of this position will be performing and reviewing option price modeling engagements and working with Monte Carlo simulations and Black Scholes models
  • Lead fair value projects and perform, train, and review purchase price allocation, goodwill impairment testing and stock compensation engagements. 
  • Reviews and manages valuation support engagements, working collaboratively with clients and team members to ensure engagement expectations, budgets, and timelines are met
  • Identifies the most effective means of meeting engagement objectives, including the use of technology and the right mix of procedures and personnel.
  • Provide mentorship and training to Staff and Senior Analysts
  • Works diligently building relationships with key stakeholders at client organizations to continue to foster a long-term partnership between the LBMC Litigation and Valuation Department and external clients, attorneys, and bankers. High-performing individuals will be alert to client needs for the possible expansion of services to other LBMC Family of Company service lines
  • Possess a thorough understanding of valuation theory application, documentation, specialty practice standards, applicable laws, and regulations to provide effective solutions to complex client issues
  • Participates in continuing education initiatives to remain informed on industry standards, regulatory requirements, and specialized industries laws and regulations as updated
  • Adheres to LBMC’s defined processes and procedures including the firm's policy on privacy and client confidentiality.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 3 years of progressive Business Valuation experience with a strong skillset in option price modeling, Monte Carlo simulations, black scholes modeling, and/or purchase price allocation
  • Licensed CPA if applicable, but other industry certifications are a plus (ASA, CFE, CFA, ABV, FHFMA, CFF, CHFP, etc.)
  • 2 years of leadership and training of Staff and Senior Analysts
  • Strong track record of success with any combination of the following:
    • Advanced option pricing modeling for the valuation of earnouts and stock-based compensation
    • Advanced Monte Carlo simulation modeling for the valuation of earnouts and stock-based compensation
    • Valuations related to purchase price allocations (ASC 805) 
    • Black Scholes modeling
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as requested
  • Proven ability to work independently on projects and provide a high level of customer service to clients, attorneys, and general project stakeholders
