You Will Be Trusted To
- Identify and execute sourcing strategies across assigned categories of spend for materials and services that drive value and quality for the overall LCRA Supply Chain.
- Initiate and leverage supplier relationships of moderate complexity to achieve optimal value, ensure delivery of contractual obligations and fulfill the strategic objectives of LCRA.
- Drive supplier performance and improvement through the application of contract administration tools, supplier review meetings, metrics reporting and supplier improvement programs.
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with key stakeholders. Maintains continual dialogue with stakeholders to sufficiently anticipate needs.
- Perform continual market analysis and industry intelligence research.
- Six or more years of experience in procurement, vendor management or project management or other relevant experience.
- A degree(s) in business, supply management, finance, economics or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- Experience procuring goods, commodities or services using a strategic sourcing process
- Experience identifying and deploying a category strategy
- Experience independently drafting, negotiating and executing purchase contracts
- Experience leveraging and improving supplier performance
- Experience developing and managing stakeholder relationships
- Experience with benefits and staffing service categories
- Knowledge of materials planning, inventory management and logistics
