Le'fant is seeking a Java Developer to support a GI Bill modernization effort. The Java Developer is responsible for participating in the full agile application development life cycle for new development design, construction and testing of Java applications, Web Services (SOAP and REST), and reusable components to support overall project. The developer must be able to create software in Java programming and for a variety of IT software applications and have experience analyzing technical needs and developing and debugging code with design objectives. Full stack, Java/Angular/Jrules/Cobol/Salesforce/Mulesoft.
Requirements
Required:
- Java version 1.8
- REST, SOAP web services
- EJB, Servlet
Preferred:
- Spring framework concepts
- Authentication mechanisms (SAML, OAuth)
- Multi-threading (concurrency)
- Git, maven, CI/CD
- WebLogic 12.2
- redHat Process Automation Manager, RPA (blueprism)
- Hibernate, Oracle and Postgres databases
- Jmeter, unit, functional testing.
- Agile development experience
- Docker, orchestration using Kubernetes
- AWS Cloud
- AWS SES and AWS SQS/SNS"
Additional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering / technical discipline and minimum of (Five) 5 years of experience. Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
- Ability to obtain VA Medium-Background Investigation Clearance
- Experience working on a VA legacy system for Education Service is HIGHLY preferred
- Remote work is allowed as long as you are willing and able to travel 5-6 times per year to either the DC Metro Area or to VA facility locations
