Le Pavillon, a culinary oasis across from Grand Central Terminal by Chef Daniel Boulud is currently seeking a dependable and professional team member to join the reservations department. The position has a great career path to grow within The Dinex Group.
The Reservationist will be someone who has extensive experience with customer service and administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have a professional demeanor and sophistication, able to deliver services in an approachable and friendly manner and will be proficient of Word, Excel, Outlook, internet searches and maintaining a database.
Essential Duties:
- Greet all guests with enthusiasm and friendliness over the phone and via email correspondence
- Work with the front-of-house team to maximize seating and minimize wait time
- Fluent ability to operate Resy, including tag management, confirmation, and communication feature
- Return calls for reservations and make confirmation calls to future guests
- Respond to guest requests and inquiries in the reservations inbox
- Field incoming calls and engage guests to create a positive first impression and throughout all communications
- Proofread and revise reservation notes to ensure a memorable dining experience
- Assist in resolving guest complaints by listening to the guest and relaying accurate information for Management
- Be knowledgeable of the menu and overall restaurant group
- Learn and maintain Forbes Service standards
Competencies & Qualifications:
- Previous high-volume experience including handling calls using a multi-phone line system
- At least 1 year experience in Guest Relations or related position in a fine dining restaurant
- Knowledge of and interest in French cuisine and wines
- Available Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm with flexibility
- Able to take direction and complete tasks in order of priority
- Organizational skills
- Effective time management
- Pleasant & welcoming demeanor
- Positive and clear written and oral communication skills
- Ability to engage guests successfully and build a relationship
- Good sense and understanding of hospitality
