Le Petit Four is hiring a Prep-Cook / Assistant Baker !
Le Petit Four is a French family owned bakery, we have been located in Needham for the past 3 years, doing business from our central kitchen / garage.
We’re now opening a big store in Wellesley MA in the Fall of 2024. This role will start in our current Needham kitchen, and will move to Wellesley when the store opens.
The Bakery Prep Assistant is a key team member, contributing to the successful operation of both the bread and pastry departments.
Responsibilities include scaling wet and dry ingredients according to recipe specifications, assembling and preparing equipment for use, and some inventory management of dry goods.
Precision, speed, and an attention to details are key, as is a desire to work independently within a complex, fast-paced work environment.
Prior baking experience or work in food service is required. This is a great opportunity to move into the world of professional baking amongst French people!
REQUIREMENTS
- Prior baking / food service experience is preferred but not required
- Flexible morning, evening, and weekend availability.
- Basic math skills
- Passion for baking
- Friendly, energetic personality
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Preparations for pastries and savory.
- Cleaning.
Expected hours : 30 40 per week
