Description
The Director of Payments will be instrumental in building, developing and monitoring innovative payments products in line with the bank’s needs helping to scale the rapidly expanding business and to positively influence the online payments and mobile money space.
Essential Functions• Lead major project work streams related to payments strategy, marketplace and competitive intelligence, business development, or corporate initiatives• Structure and solve business problems, collaborating and coordinating with a range of internal stakeholders to make recommendations on a wide range of business issues• Build out unique, creative and impactful payments solutions by integrating insights across the businesses many expert functional resources and supporting collaborative solution development• Develop rigorous, fact based, quantitative analysis to support recommendations. Ensure strategic and financial soundness and alignment for any recommendations• Work closely with management teams on strategic projects, bringing timely and useful insight and analytical support• Communicate recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional staff and management in a clear, concise and impactful way• Conduct payments market and client research to identify potential features or releases• Coordinate go-to-market strategies when launching a new payments products or features• Defining product / project requirements and relaying it to appropriate teams• Monitor product performance & progress, business KPIs while understanding the impact of changes• Identify and assess revenue-oriented optimizations, new opportunities and key partnerships• Plan, scope and assess the business value of new features or 3rd party integrations• Build and manage a payments team which includes all facets of payments knowledge and expertise • All other job duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:
• At least 5 years of experience in the FinTech / Mobile Money / Payments space
