Director of Nursing

Director of Nursing- Williamsburg, VA

Leaderstat is seeking a Director of Nursing for a highly regarded nonprofit Skilled Nursing Facility in beauitful Williamsburg, Virginia. The DON will direct and oversee care for all residents, and ensure compliance with state and federal rules and regulations. The DON will also motivate, develop and build the nursing team.

Job Description:

• Directing the nursing program, including implementing new policies and procedures when necessary
• Overseeing hiring, firing, and development of nursing staff
• Communicating with families, residents, and physicians as needed
• Developing a business plan and budget for the nursing unit
• Participating in creating resident care plans and ensuring they are followed
• Ensuring the nursing unit is compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations

Requirements:

• RN in Virginia
• 2 years of prior leadership experience.
• Knowledge of resident care standards
