What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Designer position at leadPops, Inc.?

We are looking for a dynamic social media designer to be responsible for designing and posting original content on online platforms. The responsibilities of a social media designer include posting content on social media, designing graphic material, and attracting consumers via social media. In addition, the Social Media Manager will produce print collateral (brochures, one sheets, etc.) and digital content (presentations, email newsletters, etc.).

Under the direction of our Marketing team, you will support our corporate and product marketing efforts with the development of digital and print creative deliverables. You are resourceful, creative, and meticulous with excellent design chops. And you relish the idea of working for a fast growing, cutting edge company.

To be successful as a social media designer, you should be highly motivated, creative, and possess solid knowledge of marketing competencies. Ultimately, a top-notch social media designer should be computer literate, highly organized, and able to work with little direction.

Requirements

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be passionately in tune with the latest social media developments, platform behavior and data trends.
  • Help refine and involve the company's social media strategy for each platform.
  • Bring a journalistic and editorial approach to content marketing. Critical to success is the ability to translate technical information into benefit-oriented and entertaining stories/creative that generates excitement for leadPops.
  • Develop fresh concepts for creating graphic content in line with the company’s goals.
  • Designing and implementing high-quality graphic content including:
    • High-quality and attention-grabbing images that grab the users’ attention and improve the brand’s credibility
    • Visually compelling infographics, customer testimonials while maintaining brand consistency and professionalism
  • Produce final design solutions (like logos, banners, interfaces)
  • Pitch creative ideas
  • Collaborate with team members to launch projects
  • Develops creative concepts from a creative brief and brings them to life within Company’s brand standards
  • Develops and presents conceptual design comps for approval
  • Help conceptualize and produce high-quality, creative, digital and print solutions for marketing collateral/campaigns, product marketing materials, and websites
  • Brand Outreach - Identify and communicate with enterprise brands and partners in various social media outlets.
  • With limited oversight, the candidate is able to manage social media projects through the creative process, leveraging insights, gathering feedback and pushing innovative ideas.
  • Work with internal teams to create compelling campaigns to drive awareness, demand and conversion across all key brands and constituents.
  • Research and propose new opportunities for social media marketing and advertising campaigns.
  • Stay current with social media trends and incorporate as appropriate to improve the customer experience, drive sales and leverage ongoing customer involvement.
  • Work closely with leadPops marketing team as well as the digital team to develop and maintain digital strategies that yield maximum ROIs and other key metric measurements.
  • Effectively direct social media and internet communities, including blogs, message boards and chat to generate interaction, positive brand exposure and sales.
  • Provide metrics and ROI for participation in social media sites and ensure success.


TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Passion and knowledge of social media and the internet
  • Experience evangelizing on behalf of an organization, brand or products
  • Extreme familiarity with the social media landscape, best practices, measurement and campaigns
  • Familiarity with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop) and additional video editing software
  • Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and self-manage in a fast-pasted and creative environment
  • Ability to take general direction and execute
  • Innovative, detail oriented and organized
  • Confident and quick learner
  • Proactive approach
  • Familiarity with design techniques (e.g. prototyping, color theory, art direction)
  • Understanding of visual elements (layout, type and fonts)
  • Time management and multitasking abilities
  • Creativity skills and problem-solving aptitude

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Design or related field
  • A killer portfolio demonstrating your natural talent
  • 2-3 years of experience in graphic design
  • Minimum 5 years of Internet marketing related experience
  • A hunger to learn and ability to work well with various personality types
  • Experience with Google Suite (Google Slides, Google Docs, and Google Sheets)
  • Experience overseeing social media platform(s) required
  • Strong understanding of the principles, software, and practices of the field of design (digital and print) and production
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat)
