Position Summary: The IT Project Manager will be responsible for plan development, completion, development, releases, program closures and lookback analysis. Management of project budget and plans with ability to identify risks and dependencies. Projects may include onboarding and offboarding of vendor integrations, coordinating activities while being the liaison between IT and cross functional teams across the organization. As a member of the IT PMO team, the Technical Project Manager will act as a leader and owner; they will be accountable for end-to-end success of their projects. Must demonstrate flexibility to help PMO team as needed to ensure that the IT roadmap stays on track.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical project management using a mix of waterfall and/or agile practices and scrum framework for the planning, execution and delivery of products, measure success and deliver business value with every release.
- Manage highly complex work for multiple IT divisions and enterprise projects cutting across functional areas.
- Align and support the vision for IT department / IT PMO. Must demonstrate ability to be an evangelist in promoting IT’s vision, mission and goals and influencing cross functional teams in achieving IT vision which in turn aligns with Leaf Home’s growth plans.
- Provide clear, reliable, and appropriate communication to immediate supervision, IT team, vendors, and stakeholders. Opportune communication is the key for this role.
- Presenting status, results, and other information to various stakeholders including senior leadership.
- Expertise in leading cross-functional programs. Successfully manage programs with multiple work streams starting from initiation through plan, execution, release and close. In-depth understanding of business processes and goals of business units associated with the programs.
- Follow all IT PMO standards and processes. Be an advocate to others in doing the same. Recommend, collaborate, and align with IT PMO director for process improvement, bringing in operational efficiencies and other activities.
- Investigate and lead course correction efforts when programs/projects do not meet established budget or delivery timelines.
- Take accountability for his/her team’s timely delivery of projects/programs. Ensure the team embraces the basic IT PMO standards, policies, and processes etc. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Experience and Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 8 years of directly related and progressively responsible experience in information technology project management.
- 12 years of overall technology experience including but not limited to business and systems analysis, QA/testing, project management, etc.
- Strategic mindset to think long term and with a synthesized view of complex technical and business considerations. Solid understanding of Project Management methodologies and principles and possess strong technical and analytical skills.
- Ability to build solid Work Breakdown Structure for projects/programs ensuring that it aligns with expected timelines. Thinking creatively to solve program/project constraints, risks, and dependencies.
- Must demonstrate skills in negotiation and facilitation techniques and interact professionally with business, technical and non-technical and vendor staff. Demonstrated understanding of the nuances of interactions with business, vendors, and IT team members.
- Ability to understand multiple perspectives and work to get consensus that aligns with IT goals. Ability to logically connect ideas, scrutinize and evaluate arguments, find inconsistencies and errors in work, solve complex problems, and engage in reflection.
- Advanced understanding of software development life cycle and AGILE methodologies.
- Prior Experience with leading project management software.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple large scale, technology-oriented projects from discovery through post implementation.
- Prior experience leading cross-functional projects and presenting status, results, etc. to senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to apply and understand operational processes, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Experience managing/leading third party IT vendors leading to the successful implementation of complex IT oriented projects.
- Strong working knowledge/experience of project management techniques and tools on large scale IT projects.
- Ability to juggle various work activities and shift their attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders without “dropping the ball.”
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment and have a “roll up your sleeves” and “win every day” mentality.

- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access). Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
- Proficient in AGILE, Waterfall and Hybrid methodologies.
- Experience with Azure DevOps preferred.
- Relationship builder able to develop a team effectively and build relationships at all levels internally and with client teams and stakeholders. History of mentoring and/or teaching others around work plan development, progress tracking, time tracking, status reporting and risk management.
Travel Requirements:
