The Database Developer will be responsible for the application of business intelligence automation solutions. Support the database services in the design, delivery and operation of database solutions. Interact with client representatives and business analyst to develop database solutions that meet business requirements. Responsible for the development and maintenance of databases and database procedures required for internal products and systems while following specific coding standards. Maintain data storage; assess database design; and gather, organize, and interpret statistical information based on the data in the database.

Essential Functions:
Develop complex databases, tables, functions, procedures, scripts, and dictionaries to support application development and reporting team needs
Develop database documentation to include the operational use of databases, tables, functions, procedures, scripts, and dictionaries
Develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies to ensure data quality and integrity in databases
Develop reports from a user-level to a complete overview of the company, with filtering and analysis by and including multiple categories
Convert specifications into high-quality, manageable scripts and databases using coding best practices
Analyze and debug any issues related to database performance and operational procedures and provide corrective measures to improve functionality and efficiencies
Test databases by running performance testing procedures to ensure the proper operations of a database and to ensure that it’s error-free
Provide technical assistance by identifying and resolving production and/or applications development problems related to the use of the database management system software or utilities, by responding to inquiries regarding access-control requests, errors, problems, or questions with databases
Ensure that database projects are completed on time and within estimated costs
Maintain current and accurate knowledge of data storage and management best practices
Perform space management and capacity planning for database systems
Perform data back-up and archival on regular basis
Administrative duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time
Minimum Physical Requirements:
Mental Demands: high workflow management, high project coordination
Finger Dexterity: using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together
Talking: especially where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly
Average Hearing: able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information
Average Visual Abilities: ordinary acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or operate machinery
Physical Strength: sedentary work. Sitting most of the time, and occasionally exerts up to 10 lbs. of force (almost all office jobs)
Frequent multi-tasking, changing of task priorities, repetitious exacting work required
Working in a noisy, distracting environment with frequent deadline pressures TRAVEL: Ability to travel in performance of job duties is required

Bachelor’s degree in related field OR 2 years equivalent work experience demonstrating applicable skills in relevant industry or discipline.

Minimum Qualification, Job Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
3 years’ experience in data processing, with at least 2 years of experience with database management systems; OR 2 years as an analyst using database techniques and application development
Bachelor’s degree in related field OR 2 years equivalent work experience demonstrating applicable skills in relevant industry or discipline. Equivalent experience is included in and not separate from total years of experience
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience with Microsoft 365 services, Azure cloud services, Google services, SQL Server, MySQL, and MongoDB
Working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) phases including design, development, implementation, integration, testing, evaluation, and maintenance of applications
Proficient in Database Systems: SQL Server, Azure Managed SQL Database, MySQL, MongoDB
Proficient in Windows Server 2016 and above; Microsoft SQL Server 2014 and above
Proficient in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Working understanding of in Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Power BI, Windows PowerShell 5.0 and greater, and Python
Working understanding of Azure Blob Storage, Azure Backups
Working understanding of source-code editors (e.g. Visual Studio Code)
Working understanding of GIT source control
