For more than 35 years, we’ve developed programs to meet the diverse needs of clients with moderate to severe traumatic and acquired brain injuries. We provide treatment for post-concussion syndrome, stroke, memory loss, neurobehavioral issues and accident or sports-related head injuries.
Responsibilities
We are searching for part and full time Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to work in our residential programs located in Raleigh, North Carolina. The CNA provides direct care services to persons with disabilities who are consumers of Learning Services. Encompassed within the direct care services is the delivery of behavioral training designed to modify the consumer’s behavior. These services are delivered continuously throughout the working day. These services may take place in the facility or in the community, and encompass activities related to all aspects of daily living. The CNA is responsible for delivering support to individuals as they strive to overcome challenges arising after brain injuries. These services may take place in the facility or the community and encompass activities related to all aspects of daily living. Some key responsibilities of an LST are: Direct Care of residents, which includes assistance with hygiene toileting, dressing, supporting all resident daily activities: fitness, treatment, recreational, etc Collaborate with clinical staff on the implementation of all behavior plans, PT, OT, and SLP home treatment programs for residents, as well as observe and record information that can further the therapeutic goals of each resident. Transport consumers on errands, appointments and outings. Provide a safe, clean, home-like environment for residents. Assist with a variety of routine household chores, including: shopping, cleaning, preparing meals, etc.

Qualifications
Requirements: A high school diploma is required. Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, insurance and responsible driving behaviors must be maintained. Competence in writing, planning, organization and documentation, as well as time management skills are required. The ability to communicate with families, professionals and co-workers is a must. The ability to demonstrate positive client interaction skills is essential. Ability to Lift 50lbs.
